Description
1976 Jeep CJ-7 Original 304 V8, 3-Speed Manual Transmission, with Power Steering.
Runs and drives great. The clutch is in great shape and the trans shifts smoothly. The engine pulls strong and the 4WD functions as it should with no issues. There are no leaks in the engine. All new fluids. The engine has been upgraded with some performance modifications: Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Carter AFB 4 barrel carburetor with manual choke, MSD 6A ignition box, and MSD distributor. The previous owner purchased the Jeep from an estate so the internal upgrades to the engine are unknown as far as specifics but it definitely has a performance cam and probably bored over just from the sound of it and its power output. Headers and dual exhaust with glass packs. New battery and alternator.
Original metallic blue paint throughout except doors, tailgate, and right front fender which have been painted to match. Floors are original and solid throughout. At some point, the previous owner had decided it would be a good idea to glue AstroTurf as a carpet? That has all been removed but glue is still in some areas as you will see in the pics but shouldn’t be too hard to remove. The interior is in great shape. The seats are excellent and the dash pad is new. All of the factory gauges are functioning except the engine temp and fuel but there are aftermarket ones installed to take their place. Top-of-the-line Kenwood Marine Bluetooth stereo and speakers professionally installed.
New fuel tank, sending unit, and fuel gauge. New brake lines, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders. Brand new (hard to get right now) gen 2 BFG 35" All-Terrain T/A tires. Brushed aluminum wheels in excellent condition. New Bilstein shocks all around and a new steering stabilizer. 4” lift. New under dash duct work. Heater and defrost work perfectly. The frame is solid with some surface rust. Two steel reinforcements were welded in place at the front section of the rear leaf spring mounts where two small rust holes were forming (a common area of concern I’m told and it has been remedied). New fender guards, chrome bumper, and mirrors are in great shape. The hardtop is in good shape and will include a new Bimini top.
Everything works. The Jeep runs great and is a real head-turner.
