Description

This listing is for a 1980 Jeep CJ7 that has been rebuilt from the ground up. The old 304 cubic inch engine has been swapped out for a newly rebuilt AMC 360, bored out and putting out approximately 390 ft-lbs of torque! The new engine has many upgrades including: high performance camshaft, high flow mechanical water pump, new clutch and flywheel, and Bull Tear serpentine belt and pulleys. She is powered by an MSD 6AL anniversary ignition box and has a MSD distributor. She has wrapped, fenderwell exit headers that lead downstream to Cherry Bomb glass pack side pipe mufflers. If you can't see her coming, you will most definitely hear her! She has all new Russell classic performance fuel lines with a high performance mechanical fuel pump, putting out 6 psi of fuel pressure to the Edelbrock carbeurator, that sits on top of the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. The engine is cooled by a custom aluminum radiator and electric fan, that includes a manual override switch. The engine rebuild was done by George Doughtie, an AMC master mechanic and racer, and includes all paperwork and receipts for the build.
The Dana 300 transfer case has been rebuilt with all new seals and sits on top of a custom fabricated skid bar. The rear axle is a custom Ford 8.8, with positrac and 3.54 gears, and has been cut to size to fit the narrow track width of this Jeep. She has a newly rebuilt interior with Linex floors and a custom dash with new AutoMeter gauges. She sits on 35 inch BF Goodrich All Terrain tires and has new manual locking hubs. Stay out of the sun with the bikini top while still taking in the breeze.
She has less than 500 miles since the axle and engine rebuild.
