Description

For sale is my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I bought this vehicle from an older couple which the wife drove and somehow blew the engine (I am sure it was lack of oil change). It sat unused for a few years in their garage. I purchased for my daughter who just got her license because it was in very nice condition (except the engine). Black leather interior is very nice and carpets are clean. My plan was to get it up and running for her to drive so I wanted to get it mechanically perfect. Last year I had a new remanufactured 4.7L engine installed (see pictures). The engine is from LKQ. See pictures to see it as it arrived in a crate to the shop. I also had a new remanufactured front axle installed because the old one was not disengaging from 4x4 mode. I also put in a new starter, radiator, battery, alternator, speakers in all doors, front brakes, tires, windshield, and many other odds and ends that I felt it needed. Body is nice with no rust that I can find. Long story short, my daughter was offered a 2009 Nissan Altima which she prefers to the "bumpy truck ride" of the Jeep. I have $8,000+ work in receipts over the past year that I have put into this Jeep. I also have new headlights which I have not yet installed. (I buffed the old ones out and they look fine. I was waiting until the summer to put the brand new ones in.) I drove the Jeep for the past year and it runs excellent and VERY strong. Heat works good and A/C works good. I had the A/C recharged last summer and the heater vent flaps fixed to blow hot air better as well. I just got it inspected for 2015 and it is ready to go. The only thing wrong with it right now is a couple days ago the drivers side passenger window fell off the window track regulator so it needs to be fixed or maybe replaced. I looked on Ebay and the part is under $50. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a need for the vehicle because I have other cars to use including a 2008 Lincoln Navigator which is 4x4 also. I have seen the same vehicle go for as much as $5K without all the new work but I am reasonable and know it is still a 2002 Jeep even though it has many new parts under the hood. This would be perfect for a student needing a dependable and strong running vehicle or someone looking for a strong 4x4 to drive while their hot rod is in the garage during winter months. Because it is a 2002, insurance is cheap. If you are local and want to come drive it, please email me and we can arrange a time. Anyway good luck bidding !!!
