I have used 'stock' photographs for now, as the weather has not yet allowed me to go out and take any decent snaps yet ! Hopefully that will change today. These photos however are a direct representation (except my car is right hand drive)
Right, So I am selling my wife's 'immaculate' 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Edition.
The car is truly beautiful and a wonderful representation of this stunning piece of kit. Firstly, it has the 'world over' tried and tested Mercedes 3.0 V6 Diesel engine coupled with the Mercedes Auto gearbox. It is very very refined, smooth and extremely quick for a 2 tonne 4 x 4 beast of a car. However, it will still return 25-30 mpg running around and easily push the 30+ mark on a run.
It has had one previous 'doctor' owner for its entire life, fully serviced and maintenance record up to date.
I am selling it because . (Confession time) in my error, I px'd my wife's X5 for this, thinking I was doing the right thing. I wasn't. My wife adored the X5, and therefore, I have bought her another X5. Being honest, once you have been a BMW driver it is difficult to change, but . I actually prefer the Jeep. It is smoother, quieter, much much more comfortable over the bumps, I think the ride quality wipes the floor with the X5, and the engine and gearbox is much more refined. But at the end of the day it is not my car and therefore not my decision. There's no accounting for taste!
The bodywork is gleaming metallic black, unadulterated with gleaming alloys to match. It really has that showroom shine, but I am quite fastidious when it comes to valeting and really like my cars to remain as perfect as possible. If I am being nit picky, the chromed wing mirrors have taken a few scratches where obviously they have been up close and personal with someone else's, but this does not detract from the cars overall condition.
The light, grey leather suede interior seating is unmarked, and really sets off the car. It has the individual embroidered 'overland' logo on the front seats really setting off the quality of the car. It is electrically operated and has two memory settings, which are also programmed into your two key fobs. So whoever remotely unlocks the car, the seat settings, mirror settings and radio channel are automatically adjusted to that persons preferences. It also has easy access mode, which automatically takes the seat back when the ignition key is removed for easy exit. A nice touch, but can also be switched off if you prefer. The seats are also heated.
It has a fully integrated colour satnav screen, which displays all sorts of information, full Boston surround sound system, 6 CD multi-changer, which is operated by feeding all 6 CDs into one front single slot, full sunroof, front and rear audio and visual parking assist, full remote tyre pressure monitors, luxury wood steering wheel, electrically operated and heated wing mirrors that electrically fold, and all the luxuries you would expect of a car of this marque.
The 'overland' model was the top of the range flagship for Jeep and it really does not disappoint.
In my ownership, I have changed front pads and discs (Nov 15) New battery and alternator (Oct 15 Halfords 3 yr warranty) and service (Nov 15) local Prestige Auto Technicians.
I am an honest, genuine person, and would never get anyone's hopes up beyond their expectations. So this car is truly as described. There is still 2 MONTHS 4* PRIVATE WARRANTY on the car that can easily be transferred to the new owner too. I have used it for the alternator and they were very easy and trouble free (unlike some warranties)
I am not a messer and only deal straight with people (check my feedback) all I ask is for that mutual respect.
The car is for sale, exclusively, on EBay and I will only accept cash.
