If you have a postal rural route, especially with dirt roads and/or snow, this is the vehicle for you. My understanding is that the USPS and the NRLCA have a Memorandum of Understanding that provides a $1000 incentive to rural carriers that purchase Right hand drive vehicles to deliver a rural route. Whether you are eligible is up to you to confirm.
The passenger seat on the left side is included, but it is currently uninstalled and replaced with an easily removable wood platform for more postal payload. The seat can be easily reinstalled if preferred.
This Jeep has been well maintained, is in good condition and has never been in an accident. In 2021 the front axel was completely rebuilt and springs were replaced at a cost of over $8000 In 2019 the transmission was refurbished and the radiator was replaced. The engine and drivetrain have no known or noticeable problems. Heat and AC work fine.
There is a some rust here and there on the rocker panels and below the rear tailgate door. This can be seen in the photos. There is no other substantial left side rear door hinge is stiff and probably needs the pins pulled out and cleaned / greased but the door can be opened and closed.
The defrost wire needs to be soldered back on to the rear window. It worked prior to coming off. however the window is vertical so it does not collect snow easily. The tires definitely need to be replaced. That is left to you so you can pick the most appropriate tire for your needs.
