WHY THIS VEHICLE?This is one rare Lada Niva! This export variant was used by the Former Russian Ambassador to Spain, where it spent years with the diplomatic family. It then returned to Russia where it spent its time with a Military Officer, only to be forgotten in a barn. It was recently dug out and restored by a fantastic team of Soviet Automobile Enthusiasts. Months of hard work and dedication went into restoring this Lada, with many of the original parts being reused after thorough cleaning and rebuilding. Upon completion, we, here at AlphaCars, knew we had to have it. We are so fortunate to be offering this one-of-a-kind, Lada Niva, for sale. MODEL SPOTLIGHT:The Lada Niva is a legendary vehicle with a strong following the world over. The Niva was developed to have the speed of a Lada combined with the capability of a UAZ 469, capable of handling the harshest terrain and conditions of the Soviet Union. It accomplishes this thanks to a simple yet rugged 1.6L overhead cam 4 cylinder engine, a permanent 4-wheel-drive system with high/low ranges & locking differential, tall, narrow tires & wheels, and its famous, fully independent front suspension. It is the first unibody SUV ever produced. It is the only Soviet vehicle ever to be imported to Japan, directly inspiring the Suzuki Samurai. It has fulfilled nearly every imaginable role: from a civilian car to an ambulance, a fire truck, an army vehicle, a tractor.
