Landrover Defender 110 1991 J Reg 200tdi

You are bidding on this Landrover Defender 110 with a mighty 200tdi engine that really does pull like a train. It has a full 12 months MOT on it and has been my faithful workhorse for the last 3 years but unfortunately I have outgrown it - I need more space. So reluctantly, I am having to sell. It has been regularly serviced while owned by me - the last one done a couple of months ago. I changed the timing belt last year at 172,000 miles. The chassis is solid but has been welded a few times, including a few small patches for the MOT but there are still a good few years in it yet! Bulkhead is starting to rust - see photos but a repair panel will be included - easy job for someone who is handy with a welder. I purchased the alloy wheels and tyres a couple of years ago - tyres still have loads of life in them. Springs and shocks were changed last year - initially I put gas shocks on the rear but was not happy with them, and so put standard shocks on instead. The nearly new gas shocks will also be included in the sale. It does have a bench seat in the back, with seat belts - unfortunately the seat base is rather dirty - easy enough to replace or re-cover. It has been extremely reliable and has never let me down. I replaced the ignition last year as I managed to snap my key off in the old one - since then the starter motor does not always engage first time, but 99% of the time engages second/third time, but it never fails to start. Also included is a Kenlowe hot start - this gets your heaters nice and warm in the cold winter mornings, before you start the engine - it also reduces wear and tear on the engine and your engine will be already upto temperature when you start it. Occasionally fifth gear will jump out, just as you put it in - it you just hold it in position, whilst accelerating it will stay in and you will have no further trouble with it. Also included in the sale will be a spare gearbox - which is was told had been re-conditioned, but I do not hold any paperwork to prove this. By no means is this a showroom condition vehicle - but there are far worse out there! I have always maintained and looked after this vehicle as it has needed to look after me being used as a daily business vehicle. The only other thing to mention is that it has the usual Landrover oil leaks - which again have never bothered me as they are nothing major. It has a cubby box in place at the moment but I do have a centre seat for the front of the landrover which will be included in the sale. I also will include light guards and side steps plus mesh guard from front to rear behind seats. Windows are also guarded.
