Description

First of all, my intention was to always keep the well used look but make sure that that all the mechanicals were spot on, so that is where all the money and effort have gone! So if you are looking for shiny, restored looking Defender, this isn't for you.
Here's a list of some of the new parts fitted:
galvanised chassis from Marslands, professionally fitted in 2014MoD recon front axle and diff with vented discsBosch fuel injectors5 Cooper STT tyres (265/16s) on Smiths alloysnew brake calipers and Brembo pads all aroundstainless braided brake hosesgalvanised sillsbonnet mount spare wheel carriertop-engine coolant hosesPipercross foam air filterWarn spot lamps, wired into dip/full beamUprated headlampsMantec snorkelall CV joints renewed in propshaftshandbrake set-upwheel bearings all roundsilicone turbo hosesnew turbonew exhaustX-Eng security - pedal guard and ignition barrel casingnew heavy duty steering tie-bar and drag link with all new ball joints2" lift on new springs and TerraFirma shocks (3 years ago)TerraFirma return-to-centre steering damperSuperPro poly bushes all rounda-frame ball jointThis is not an exhaustive list, just what springs to mind. I have a massive folder of paperwork, everything fitted has been OE standard, no cheap aftermarket parts. This has been a bit of a labour of love, so I haven't cut any corners. It also comes with the original tow bar.
The bulkhead has no corrosion and has been Dinitrol wax injected, engine has done 110k and is in great condition; all the forums reckon you'll get 250k if you service it regularly, which this one has been (always used Magnatec oil). Sailed through the MoT, ends 30th April 2016, MoT history to back-up the mileage. It drives like new.
As previously mentioned, this Defender still maintains its "working vehicle" look, so expect the usual dents, scratches, etc associated with a 20 year old off-road vehicle, but not the rust and abused mechanicals! Looks great as it is, or the perfect base for a full cosmetic restoration.
