Land Rover Series 3 88" Hardtop 35,000 Miles
A Rare Opportunity to acquire an original & Very Desirable 1980 Series III Land Rover 88" Short Wheel Base.
Frame and bulkhead are totally free of rust. This vehicle has been driven on a warm climate area since manufacturing. All electrical wiring has been revised and the vehicle presents no mistakes at all. All working perfect. Powerful & Indestructible 2 1/4 - 4 cylinders engine with superb Off Road 4x4 independent gearbox. Original Left Hand Drive. Hardtop is easily removable. Aluminium body. Vin number is E50024309.
The vehicle is currently showing 53,000 kms / 35.000 miles. Complete with the original service / log book. A very rare find indeed and one unlikely ever to be repeated - truly remarkable! To find an original example has become very hard, but to find one that retains all of its original panels, its original chassis, engine, gearbox, interior, etc well that's unheard of..
This Land Rover is a Series 3 Hardtop in original condition. All the numbers match - the chassis numbers on the plates are the same as on the log book registration document and that stamped on the chassis itself. The engine number also matches that recorded on the logbook. This Land Rover has obviously been cared and no expense spared on maintenance. It is a very solid example that requires no work and is ready to use and enjoy.
It is in one of my favourite colour combinations Bronze Green with the Limestone Wheels .The bodywork is good and all the panels are straight with no major dents or scraps. The rear load space is very clean and this has never been a working vehicle. All windows open, all the window channels are good and because the vehicle has been kept under cover not rusted away as so often is the case.
The factory fitted engine bursts into life on the turn of the key. It is apparent that this is a vehicle that has been maintained and covered low mileage it runs as quiet and smooth as any Series Land Rover.
A joy to drive and such fun. Four wheel drive and low range engage, as they should. The gears change up and down as they should it has a very quiet gearbox which is a good sign of it's light use over the years. The vehicle is supplied fully serviced including engine, filter, main gearbox, transfer box, diffs and swivels.
