Description
1992 Land Rover Defender 200tdi. I have owned this truck for about 4 years and have loved it. the mileage is listed at about 180,000km but the speedometer is broken.has been since i bought it. i put about 100miles per week on it, mostly local driving, some highway.this is a fun truck that has never left me stranded and runs strong.
i'll start with the bad
-B pillars are not in good shape, one could be replaced.
-typical land rover leaks
-there is some surface rust in areas
-door sills are rusted, 3 doors are in alright shape, but one is not in good shape. the previous owner did a "fix" that was not done well. it still functions normally and fine.
-doors do not lock
-heater is sub-par as these heat using the engine.and a 200tdi takes a LONG time to warm up.
now the good
-awesome truck and a ton of fun
-starts right up and runs super strong
-replaced radiator
-new masai seat covers
-will come with a bunch of miscellaneous parts (including rear bench seats not shown in pics)
-new tires on alloys (with spacers)
-new headliner
-block heater and oil pan heater
-diesel heater in cab (heats right up and is much more effective than the stock heater i live in Colorado at 7,800' above sea levelthis was important)
-inverter installed as well (but i would install a larger alternator if i used it more)
NOTE this is not a show truck by any stretch, it has leaks and has some rust. the chassis looks to be in very good, solid shape, the body is straight and the 200tdi has excellent performance. personally, I prefer the right hand drive (except when going through drive-thrus and parking garages). vehicle vin is SALLDHMF7JA908095, ebay does not recognize imported VINs
happy to answer any questions and can try to send video.
