Recent Service. April - Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel filter, Air Filter, Alternator belt, Power steering belt.
For sale is my beloved 110 Defender, I have owned this car for two years and have never had an issue with it. Starts first time every time and just carries on going. The Defender has had the original 2.5D engine replaced with a 200tdi from a early discovery, the conversion has been done well.
Exterior
The Land Rovers exterior is in fair condition for its age but it does have a few bumps and scratches, the front door skins are dented but both doors are solid, the bottoms have been completely rebuilt and protected, all four door hinges have been replaced and painted with Hammerite rust proof paint. The rear door skin is aluminium to stop rust. The bonnet hinges have also been replaced with new items. All lights work as they should. The large bull bar is rusted and has large holes in it but is still usable and solid. Front bumper is galvanized and painted with Hamerite paint is keep it protected. The tops of the wing are unfortunately dented but do not affect the closing or opening of the bonnet. The roof is in good condition
Interior
The inside of the Land Rover has been fully carpeted front and back, the rear has had plyboard fitted and covered. Front seats are mismatched bases and backs but are in reasonable condition the middle seat is badly torn though. The truck has Exmoor trim carpets and gearbox tunnel carpet, brand new gearknob and Mountney steering wheel. Since owning the truck i have fitted a Sony CD player with AUX in and Bluetooth function as well as amp and Sub, the amp also powers the pair of 6x9 speakers and smaller 4' speakers fitted in the rear. The dashboard has a small hole in.
Suspension
The suspension has been lifted 2" to be able to accommodate the larger tyres.
Wheels/Tyres
The tyres are General grabbers AT2 with a huge amount of tread left i will have to double check the exact specs and will update the advert.
Chassis
The chassis is immaculate, minus the small hole in the rear cross member, if i get a chance i will have this welded before the new owner picks it up apart from this their is no rust i have found and i have painted the whole lot to keep it protected. Please come and have a crawl around it to have a look for yourself.
Engine
The Land rovers engine is strong and pulls well, since owning the truck i have fitted a new radiator and intercooler from a discovery, also a new heater matrix and all pipe work associated. The fuel pump and has been slightly tuned to increase performance it also has a K+N air filter fitted
Transmission
The gearbox is a LT77 5 speed, it is tight and free, the Land rover has a short shift kit fitted that makes the gear changes very precise, this does take a while to get used to but is great once sorted. The truck has a Salisbury rear diff fitted and a original front diff. The transfer box is a 1:6 ratio which means the truck has a low top speed of around 60mph but pulls well up to this. I have replaced the UJs recently but one was fitted poorly so i have another to go on and i will try to get this sorted as well.
Spare parts
I have some spare parts that will come with the truck. To be included will be: 50" LED light bar mounted on a spotlight bar, two LED spotlights, four halogen spotlight, four original steel wheels with good tyres fitted, a pair of brand new rear bench seats, NATO tow hook and spreader plates plus all nuts and bolts and a A bar. and anything else i can dig out of the garage.
This Land Rover has been fantastic to own, i haven't used this off road just to potter around the village and on the odd occasion pick up logs. I will be sad to see it go but unfortunately it has to.
