Description
This
is one of the nicest, genuine 110 high capacity pick ups out there.
As I'm sure you are aware hi-caps get used and abused possibly more than any other type of Land Rover due to their ultra practical 4000L carrying capacity. That's why this particular 110 stands out, it's quite simply in outstanding condition for it's age. It's not unmarked but considering it was used daily for 16 years by a tree surgeon it's a credit to him. He garaged it every night at his home in Aldershot and I have done the same since owning it.
The interior is every bit as good as it looks in the pictures. Seat covers have left the seats completely unmarked and original. The entire dashboard is absolutely unmarked and pristine. Considering it's made it through 22 years of life without any phone holders etc being drilled into it, is amazing. Original Phillips Land Rover stereo cassette player. Quality batteries like the current Varta 12v have never leaked acid into the battery box as this is immaculate.
The non computerised 2.5L 200 Tdi pulls very well indeed and starts every single time on the button without fail. The engine bay is lined with original Land Rover sound proofing. Both axles have factory breathers fitted which terminate in the engine bay. The only small issue with the drive train is second gear has a slightly weak synchromesh, but if driven sympathetically with this in mind can be fine.
Good, matching, fully inflated almost full tread depth spare tyre in the rear bed area. The bed is in good tidy order. A lot of hi-caps have flattened/damaged ribs on the floor of the bed but these are in good order as you can see. The Ifor Williams aluminium canopy is just over 1 year old and is unmarked. It is lockable and has a glass window front and rear. There is no current tow bar but the 110 does have twin electric 12v outlets for a tow bar.
The chassis and outriggers are in very good order. It's not been recently waxed or treated so you will be able to see how good it genuinely is in the flesh. Definitely above the norm as you can see.
Two new rear Insa Turbo tyres fitted to the modular rims.
