Description
I am offering for sale this Land Rover Defender 110 County station wagon.
Bad Points
It requires some work to get it to the MOT stage and cannot be driven.
The clutch requires replacement and the chassis needs a small patch near the rear cross member. There is some body damage to the nearside. I will include a replacement bumper. The body cross member will need a repair. The wiring needs sorting to the ignition - previous owner messed up the wires. The doors have some corrosion but are not unrepairable. The seats are tatty. The b pillar needs a small patch.
Good points
The chassis and bulkhead are on the whole sound. Spring seats, front and rear outriggers and the main body of the chassis are solid. The rear crossmember has been replaced and is solid.
It comes with a replacement bumper and front left hand wing outer skin.
The engine runs fine when the ignition is bypassed - I can send a video via whatsapp if required. The brakes seem fine - they stopped OK when it was being towed.
The engine is low mileage at 143000.
2 previous owners. Land Rover themselves and the last owner since December 1996. I have the V5 and a folder full of receipts/MOTs together with the original manual.
With some TLC and time this could be made into a fantastic car.
I am open to sensible offers. I will not break this landy, it is far too good for that.
