2000 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 TD5 83,000 miles, BLUE

Thank you for looking at my much loved Land Rover Defender 90 TD5. It is a 2000 V reg with a private number plate. I am only looking to sell as I have had a change in my job and needed to buy a mile cruncher for a lot motorway driving. I simply don't get to the time to enjoy this fantastic Land Rover as much as I would like to.

It is finished in metallic blue topaz. The roof has been professionally wrapped with a black/grey/silver distressed Union Jack flag that also covers the sunroof. It looks amazing and turns a lot of heads. The rear windows have been professionally tinted (both rear sides and back door glass) with a medium tint which gives great privacy and adding security.
Front Bumper is a new TD5 style with built in DRL's. New front grill, light surrounds and steering guard. Chassis and cross member are solid and rust free.
New, electronically adjustable, Wipac Crystal headlights fitted with Night Breakers bulbs and CREE LED side lights. These are bright and allow you to see where you are going (which is a massive improvement over standard headlights) with smoked side repeaters. All rear lights have been upgraded to NAS style LED assemblies with clear lenses. This makes you much more visible to other road users, especially in poor weather conditions. There is also a NAS style LED work spot light fitted to the rear with an integral switch near the steering column.
A 40 inch CREE LED light bar sits on top of the front bumper and operates with the high beam. The light bar looks amazing and can turn night in to day light.
It comes with a Safari snorkel which is fully fitted with high flow wire reinforced hose which is sealed in to the air box. Air box contains an ING filter.
Rock sliders, tree sliders, side steps, snow cowl fitted to heater intake. Wing top chequer plate.
Genuine Mach 5, 16 inch steel wheels fitted with BFG 265 all terrains (all 5 wheels including the spare) and locking wheel nuts.
NAS style rear step with integral tow bar.
Factory fitted sun roof replaced 2 years ago. so far no leaks.
Engine
2500, 5 cylinder TD5 which has been mapped and tuned to add more BHP and Torque, EGR valve have been removed. This is a responsive engine with plenty of power in normal driving conditions as well during motorway journeys.
Straight through exhaust with small rear silencer. It sounds fantastic and isn't too loud.
Fitted Redbooster clutch servo. This makes the clutch very easy to operate. You can depress the clutch with two fingers.
Running gear
Within the last 12 months the following parts have been replaced:- Fuel pressure gauge, starter solenoid, PAS box, front swivel seals, exhaust manifold, Helicoiled inserts, X-Eng Disc Hand break conversion.
Within the last 6 months: Rear diff, rear break discs, rear brake pads, rear prop shaft, rear prop shaft U joints, rear shock absorbers, radius mounts, bottom link bolts and drive members. It drives like a new vehicle. Standard height suspension with a comfortable ride. All parts professionally fitted by Town and Country Land Rover.
Interior
Brand new forward facing Lock and Load, Exmoor Trim rear seats, in Denim twill to match the front seat spec. These seats cost over £1,200.00 to buy from Exmoor Trim. The seats has been tested to the highest standards and approved by the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) to be able to accommodate any adult or child and give security, protection and also ability to hold a restrained child seat. Fitted with Lock & Fold inertia seat belts. If you have children under 12 years of age, it is the law that they need to have forward facing rear seats. Heated front seats in good original condition fitted with MUD UK seat covers. Cubby box with drinks holders and heated seat switches. All Dash and internal lights upgraded with LED lamps. Much more user friendly that the standard Land Rover kit.
14 inch leather Moto Lita wheel with a low profile boss. This makes drive much more comfortable.
Alpine stereo, single CD with hands free Bluetooth, 10 inch Subwoffer.
Extra auxiliary sockets fitted to the dash well and rear of passenger seat.
Full CSW headlining. Full rubber floor lining, front and rear.
Defender demisters, fantastic for clearing the front and side windows on a cold morning.
I have maintained this vehicle to the highest standard regardless of cost, fitting only the best parts. The car is in very good condition for its age.
There is a small rust bubble on the rear door by the handle and some slight bubbling on the door sills. Otherwise it is a very clean and neat 15 year old vehicle.
I have two original keys (1 alarm fob).
