Description
Land Rover Defender SWB 300TDI 1997 Private plate OKH 63VFULL MOTLow miles (85k) 6 ownersLoads of history and old MOT’s plus bills for approx 5k that I have spent! Its running on 19†Range Rover Sport alloys with a full set of low mileage premium road tyres which make this Defender drive great on the road (A full set of steel modular wheels will be included in the sale with Cooper tyres also if you wish to go offroad, It has never seen mud in my ownership) The suspension is lowered 50mm also giving the Defender a good look as well as improving the drive. As you can see it is extremely straight for an old Defender. Upgrades to the exterior include steel angular and colour coded rock sliders to both sides. Extra wide arches to accommodate the wider wheels/track. Very expensive high force grills to the wing tops and sides. Full KBX grill conversion (angel eye headlights) Full 300 TDI LED lighting conversion inc indicators/reverse light/fog lights/side lights and number plate light. The front bumper is also a very expensive, colour coded steel item with integrated daylight running lights (can be switched off if desired) Then there is the 2 front doors, these are both BRAND NEW and extremely expensive items, not skinned or repaired, both brand new, including all new door hinges. The door and window seals are all new too giving this Defender a straight and clean look. The interior handles are alloy and the plastics replaced also. No clunky old defender doors here. The rear door is also a BRAND NEW item also, including glass and handles etc. This shuts great as expected and has a BRAND NEW sway away spare when carrier, also colour coded (This item transfers the weight of the spare wheel to the chassis and not to the rear door). So the exterior of this defender looks very cool and updated everywhere you look, inc the window wipers! Also the paint job is only a year old and unmarked (Windows out top quality job, no bodge!). Looks great in the gloss black with all the updates. The interior looks good also, very clean and with a modern MP3 player. Some alloy bits and pieces in there too. The seats are leather (or maybe leather look?) Defender items. I don’t know their origin but they are modular and look great. There is a battery disconnect under the passenger seat so you can leave this Defender for months and it will still start. The rear of the truck is still in the original colour (Blue) you can see how straight the sides were before painting here. I was gonna use interior panels here but like the utility look. All gauges etc work and the heater is very good, having had new thermostat and heater controls etc fitted for last winter. The cab is a cosy place indeed.
