1989 Land Rover Defender 110

This is a 1989 Land Rover (Leyland) Defender 110, 3.5 gas motor, Right Hand Drive. The Defender runs great and has many refurbishments such as new paint, carpeting, upholstery, headliner, distributor cap, rotor, fuel pump, starter, spark plugs, radial arm bushings, wheel bearings, water pump, rear windows, and battery. The rear brakes were upgraded to rotors and now it stops like a new truck. It has new tires BF Goodrich AT 235/70 R16. The power steering and master cylinder were rebuilt. Galvanized frame (from factory). I was advised by the previous owner that the motor was rebuilt around the 150,000 kilos mark but unfortunately he did not have the receipt. Noise reduction mats were installed under the carpet and headliner prior to refurbishment. The odometer is listed in kilometers but I converted to miles for the listing. AC and heater equipped but not operating.
The Defender has dual fuel tanks and compartment for a backup battery, rear jump seats, custom heavy duty rock sliders, and air intake snorkel.
I have the repair receipts and I drove this truck in Africa for over two years before bringing it back with me to the US. I know this vehicle and it is fully registered and passed the safety inspection in Virginia. This is not a mystery vehicle that you have to import with unknowns.

Deposit:
The successful purchaser will submit a $2000 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of purchase
Payment of Balance Due:
The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
Buyers are responsible for their own state taxes and fees.
Shipping:
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and I will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company at a competitive price. I assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.
Buyer's Inspection:
Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. I have tried to disclose all information known about this vehicle for auction. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical scratches and dings inherent for their year and mechanical parts are subject to fail. I welcome and recommend a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees.
Odometer Readings:
The mileage of the vehicle represented might be slightly different than the mileage stated when the vehicle was first listed on eBay. If this is a matter of concern to you please contact me before bidding. Mileage is in Kilometers but I converted it to miles for buyers ease.
Warranty:
The vehicle is being sold "as is". No representations or warranties are made by seller, nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by bidders in making bids.
Notice to Bidders:
I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.
Bid Retractions:
Bid retractions are not allowed nor will be recognized within 12 hours of auctions end. Seller will not be obligated to sell in the event of a late retraction.
Successful Bidder:
The winning bidder will be contacted via email after the auction closes or he/she must contact me within 24 hours to proceed with payment and delivery arrangements.
Non-Paying Bidder:
If the deposit is not received within 24 hours of the close of auction or if the balance is not paid in full within 7 days following the close of auction, I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer.
