Description
Land Rovery Discovery 3 HSE, 2005, 2.7 TDV6
Hi, up for auction is my Land Rover Discovery 3, Which i am reluctantly selling due to moving home and need a smaller, more fuel efficient car for the longer commute to work and back. This car has been my pride and joy for the last 2 years and it has been no trouble whatsoever in that time. The CAM Belt kit was also replaced after 100k during the service.
This is the HSE version which has the harmen kardon logic 7 sound system, privacy glass, larger alloys and sat nav, plus includes memory electric seats, heated seats (front and rear) Rear entertainment system with aux input, climate control and 6 disk auto-changer. every feature on this car works flawlessly including the hill descent control, electronic parking brake and special programs.
Bad points first.
all purely cosmetic, there are a few minor scratches around the vehicle, stone chips etc but nothing that isnt to be expected of a vehicle this age, one scratch stands out above the others on the passenger wing, its around 4 inch long, not too deep and certainly repairable.
there is a small tear in the drivers seat leather due to wear over time, again nothing too serious and again, looks repairable.
i was in the process of having the alloy wheels reconditioned as funds would allow but only two have been completed, the rear two are not damaged in any way, just starting to flake with age.
The good points
full service history in the book including the dreaded cam belt replacement at around 105k the car is due a service soon though (last service carried out at 122k, two keys and an assortment of receipts from myself, mot was done a few months back,
the car drives beautifully, there are no faults whatsoever, the car starts first time with no misses, it certainly is a lovely car to drive, there are no knocks or bangs as i have had alot of the suspect parts replaced, over the last few years i have spent over £2000 on new parts that had worn out including, but not limited to;
new front fog light due to it being cracked
air conditioning re-gas in april this year (works perfectly)
new front lower control arms due to excessive movement and free play
new inner and outer rack ends due to worn ball joints
new rear track arms due to worn ball joints
new rear upper suspension arms due to excessive movement in bushes
new rear hub ball joints.
four brand new scorpion tyres fitted last year, still loads of tread remaining.
four wheel laser alignment
new side steps
last available sat nav dvd fitted
LED front side lights fitted
new fuel cap latch fitted
the money spent on this car definatley shows through when driving, like i said it drives spot on and i am gutted to see it go, but needs must im afraid.
viewing of the car is highly recommended, but please, dont insult me with stupid offers, im not an idiot and i am in no rush to get rid of it, come round and have a cup of tea any evening this week i should be available except thursday.
please be aware that if you bid, you are bidding to buy, if you are unsure about this DONT BID! or view the car before making a bid, simples. non-payers will be reported to ebay, no exceptions.
if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask, or if you want alternative photographs that is not a problem either.
payment is cash on collection or direct transfer, cheque is ok but funds must be cleared before you take the car.
good luck and happy bidding.
Tim
