For sale is my beloved Discovery 3. ONLY SELLING AS I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'M UPGRADING TO A DISCOVERY 4.
Its MOT'd but I cant find the certificate. I tried to search on the Government website to see how long the MOT is valid but cant look right now as I've just taken my private plate off so its not recognising it as yet. Will look in a few days and update when it shows.
PRIVATE PLATES NOT INCLUDED. ITS BACK ON ITS ORIGINAL 55 PLATE
I've owned it for 2 years and selling only to buy a newer one. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE CAR I'VE EVER OWNED.
I HAVE 5 KIDS SO ITS THE ONLY OPTION FOR ME

TAX IS APPROX £280 PER YEAR AS OPPOSED TO ABOUT £485 FOR POST 2006 MODELS!!!!!

I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 16/2/14, WITH APPROX 119K MILES FROM A REPUTABLE CAR SHOW ROOM.
AS MY DAD IS A RETIRED ARMY MECHANIC, HE DID A FULL SERVICE (OIL AND FILTERS) IN FEB 2014. IT WAS SERVICED AGAIN IN JAN/FEB 2015 BUT HE CANT STAMP THE BOOK!!! SO ITS DUE A SERVICE.
BAD BITS..
The rear windscreen wiper has stopped working. I've checked the fuses and they are fine, so I can only assume the motor has packed up in the wiper.
Front ash tray does not stay in, it keeps popping out, so I've put a small wedge under it to keep it in, and I've never used it. You can get a new one on Ebay, but it never bothered me.
There is a knocking on the suspension arms. I took it to an independant Landrover Specialist (location can be provided if you are local, else make your own enquiries. But I wouldnt reccommend going to a Landrover dealer, as they charge the earth for anything to do woth Landrovers. I'd only use Landrover for a nearly new car. This is 10 years old!!!) and he said that they need to be replaced. He estimated a repair bill of approx £800.
I will list it as it is, but if its a problem with buyers I'll go ahead with the suspension and relist after at a higher price.
