Description
RELISTED DUE TO TIMEWASTER - previous 'buyer' was invited numerous times to view the car before clicking 'buy it now' but chose not to. When he arrived to collect the car he tried to haggle the price down and was surprised when we declined.

We have decided to sell our beloved 7 seater Land Rover Discovery which we have owned for just over 4 years. This has been a great practical family car which is perfect for transporting children, bikes or dogs! It has been mainly used for my drive to work about 6 miles away and driving the children to their various after school activities. It has never been used for off-roading during the time we've owned it. We have had the car serviced every year, the last time being in January this year. The brake pads have always been replaced when required. It has a full service history which can be seen from the Service Book. The MOT expires on 26 January 2015 and, as can be seen from the photo, there were no advisories. The car is taxed until 31 December 2014. The current mileage on the car is 99821, although the car is still in daily use so this will increase but not by too much. We have lots of receipts for work which has been carried out. Whilst we have owned it the following work has been done:
Steering Box Replaced - January 2011
Offside Front Road Spring and Shock Absorber Replaced- January 2013
Tie Rod Replaced - January 2014
Front Brake Pads and Discs - February 2014
Injectors 1 and 3 and Injector Wiring Loom - March 2014
Fuel Pump - June 2014
The rear air suspension was replaced for conventional suspension prior to us buying the car.
The car comes with a rear boot load cover which we purchased separately as the car did not come with one. The car has five full size alloy wheels which with the exception of the spare tyre are all fitted with General Grabber AT all terrain tyres which all have plenty of tread on them. These tyres are fantastic in the snow - when other cars are slipping and sliding all over the place, this car grips the road and can be driven virtually anywhere. The spare tyre has a Land Rover badged fabric wheel cover, also purchased separately by us. Land Rover Safari side steps are also fitted which were optional extras and again, were on the car when we bought it. The front and rear lights are fitted with light protectors. The front lights are the more sought after facelift style lights. The car has two manual sunroofs which make it nice and airy inside, although with the cold air con, these aren't really needed. There is also a professionally fitted tow bar with what looks like a 7 pin connector. This was already on the car when we bought it although we haven't used it since owning the car. The two rear boot seats are a great addition to the car and stow out of the way to the side allowing full use of the huge boot when they're not in use. My children and their friends all love sitting in the boot seats!
There are some scratches here and there and a couple of small dents - most likely from supermarket trolleys or other car doors. There is also a scuff to the rear bumper which I have included a picture of. This was already on the car when we purchased it and we wonder how it happened as the car has rear parking sensors!
Everything works as it should and there are no problems whatsoever with it starting or driving. We are really sad to see this car go but we don't really need a big car any more. Myself and my husband are both non smokers and no-one has ever smoked in the car whilst we've owned it. This is a real work horse of a car, more than capable of pulling a caravan or trailer. We'll also throw in the Haynes manual to the winning bidder!
You are more than welcome to come and view this car prior to bidding on it. Please do not bid on this car unless you intend to BUY IT, you are not bidding just to come and have a look and kick the tyres. Do not bid unless you are willing to pay the AMOUNT YOU BID. We are not prepared to haggle over the price once the auction has ended. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or if you require further photos. Please call Nick on 07880 801233 should you wish to see it. Apologies to all those honest ebayers out there if this sounds a bit harsh but we have already had our time wasted by an unscrupulous motor trader.
If you are the winning bidder we will require a non returnable deposit of £100.00 to be paid by Paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction, with the remainder of the money paid in cash when you come to collect the car. The £100 secures this vehicle and we will remove it from other sites it is listed on. If you turn up and for any reason decide not to buy the car, we will not refund the £100. The car is sold as seen and we will not be responsible for any problems or faults that develop once ownership passes to you. As above, we are available for the vehicle to be viewed in person prior to the auction ending. The car is advertised elsewhere so we reserve the right to end the auction early.
We are located less than 5 minutes away from Junction 7 of the M4 Motorway between Slough and Maidenhead in Berkshire.
Apologies but the DVD screens included in the photos are not included with the car.
Thanks for looking.
