2000 ES Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5
auto – 7 seater.
For auction I have a 2000 ES Land rover Discovery TD5 (diesel) with auto transmission. Purchased this vehicle with the plan to complete some touring and camping with the family but this has not eventuated due to family reasons so the car needs to go. This vehicle comes with all the high end “ES” spec features:
· 7 seater
· Leather trim.
· ACE suspension (all works as it should)
· Self-levelling suspension (rear air bags – all works as it should)
· Rear air conditioning.
· Heated seats.
· Power seats.
Items replaced / repaired on vehicle by previous owner 18 months ago:
· Automatic transmission (fully rebuilt).
· New radiator.
· All coolant hoses replaced.
· Thermostat replaced.
· Viscous fan clutch replaced.
· Harmonic balance replaced.
· Turbo hoses replaces with Silicon hoses.
· Blue tooth stereo head unit installed (phone pairing compatible).
Items replaced / repaired on vehicle last 6 months whilst I have owned it:
· Replaced hydraulic engine mounts (genuine land rover)
· Exhaust flex coupling replaced.
· All vehicle fluids drained and replaced.
· Replaced front differential seal.
· Replaced driver window regulator.
I have only driven the car on short trips to and from the mechanics to get various repairs done in preparation for the RWC, In my opinion it drives very well but pls come and see for yourself.
The Good:
· Mechanically engine and transmission are good. (odo reads 328,000 kms)· 4WD works perfect, Hi/Lo transfer case works perfect.· Electrically faultless (no strange instrument warning lights displayed, cruise/works). A/C climate control ice cold and works perfect. Tyres ok (I consider to be in RWC but will require replacing soon)
The not so Good:
· Transfer case has a slight weep, not major but a few drops every night on the driveway (needs a seal)· Windscreen has chips, repair chips or replace windscreen will be required.· Replace wiper blades.
What you see is what you get, it’s an honest vehicle (used but not abused) and I would expect trouble free motoring for the new owner with a little TLC. Very reasonably priced for a 4x4 7 seater diesel, good luck, happy bidding and thanks for looking.
