Description
Very clean and solid SUV. Ive owned it apx 5 years and am the 2nd Owner. The Autocheck system shows 3 owners, and did originally show 4. I created a case review in which it was determined that the number of owners having been determined by the times it's been titled. Autocheck informed me as a result of their verification process that the vehicle was initially "titled" exclusively to the lender used by the original purchaser, until the lien or whatever financing used was satisfied, at which point was then re-titled directly to the original purchaser. So, they show 3 "Registered Owners" when in reality, there have been only 2 in physical possession of the vehicle.
I'm happy to provide this case number and forward the email correspondence replies from Autocheck upon request.
Immediately upon my original purchase, after having taken it to my local Land Rover Dealer Service Department for a complete check, I have always performed all my own Maint, and I know this car inside and out, mechanically.
It does have some very minor scratches as to be expected, and a little wear which Ive tried to show in the pics and video. But all in all, Its one of the cleanest 10 y/o Vehicles on the road. Due, in part no doubt to the quality of manufacture. These are not inexpensive cars to purchase, but they are worth the money.
The list of repairs Ive made is as follows,
3/4 wheel bearing replacements
tires and brakes,
recent Battery
Front differential
and normal oil changes, for which I use Mobile 1 full synthetic every 2500-3000 miles because Ive always believed that waiting until oil is broken down creates unnecessary internal engine wear.
It had apx 87,000 miles when I bought it. Land Rover is very protective of the privacy of their Clients, but what I was able to ascertain from the San Antonio Dealer was that they in fact sold this vehicle new to the original Owner, and did perform all Maint during that ownership. They told me that everything was done exactly as prescribed by Land Rover, until he traded it in for a new one.
When I bought it, it needed brakes, tires, alignment, and I think either a brake or power steering flush was due. I had all these functions performed at Land Rover, and bought new tires from Firestone. In addition to keeping up with oil, ect, I have also always kept the tires rotated about every 10,000 miles. Theyre perhaps half way through their lifespan at present, and display no uneven wear patterns which could reduce expected tire life.
I don't know what the web might indicate as the MPG, but it does surprisingly well for a vehicle of this size profile and weight. apx 16 in town, 21 highway.
Re the mentioned tax deductible donation. I am donating 5% of the sale price to charity and have researched the ways in which to ensure the tax deduction to the buyer. Please contact me for details.
Last thing Ill mention is that as I stated previously, I am a retired Truck Driver. I used to be a Car Hauler, and I would be happy to put you into contact with a reliable Car Hauling Company, if needed. Theyre the best in the business, and the only ones Ill personally use.
Happy Bidding, Happy Shopping
Best wishes, Mark
