Description
1985 Land Rover 90 in volcanic orange.
Fitted with a 200Tdi from a Discovery using Steve Parker conversion parts. Had a new cambelt when the engine was put in 9,000 miles ago. Conversion was carried out by Chris from Land Rover Toolbox Videos(you tube channel). Recently had a new radiator with Evans waterless coolant. Engine has passed emission test on MOT without issue and gives only a little black smoke when pulling. Pulls very well. Lt77 gearbox. Exhaust has had center box replaced with a straight through stainless pipe and has a stainless back box too.
Chassis has had a replacement rear cross member and the nearside bulkhead out rigger has been replaced. On the last MOT it had to have a repair under the rear bump stop rubbers. Other than whats been done I have had a look round the chassis and can not see any issues. It is a 30 year old vehicle so it does reflect that.
Bulkhead, I have had the top corners replaced as they were starting to show rust. The rest of it appears solid.
Brakes were all overhauled a couple of years ago but it suffered a seized caliper on last MOT so had a new rear caliper and disks and pads.
Bodywork has some scratches and small dents as you would expect from any used vehicle. It does suffer from the usual Land Rover issue of bubbling paint work in some areas. The bottom of the doors suffer with this and the bottom rail of the front door frames have the usual Land Rover rust. The colour scheme looks stunning and turns many heads.
Interior has 6 seats which are all Exmoor Trim Black Logo. There is a slight difference in colour between the front two seats and the rest due to Black Logo being discontinued and the reintroduced some years later. Front seat are heated and featured on Land Rover Toolbox Videos.
Tyres are all BF Goodrich AT and all 5 are near to new, I will get the tread depths and add to this description.
It has fitted as extras,
KBX front grill
LED dayrunners and spotlights
Roof Rack with five LED spot lights
Heated Windscreen
Heated Mirrors
Heated Seats
Swing away spare wheel carrier
First four rear corner protectors.
Mud dash and rear door card.
Extra volt meter, rev counter and oil pressure gauges.
Pioneer CD/Radio USB mp3 player ( radio only does pic up interference from alternator)
Cubby box.
Defender vents to demist side windows.
All lighting except headlights is LED.
Auto watch Immobiliser.
Also comes with SafeTPedal pedal lock and X-Eng gear lock.
I have owned this car for 9 years and it has wanted for nothing, it has graced the cover of LRO and been in many videos for LRTV (you tube). It truly is a cracking motor at budget money. Its no Kahn or Overfinch but it will turn as many heads. I would be surprise if any one was disappointed with this motor it drive fab, tows fab, looks fab and just puts a smile on your face. The only reason for selling is after 9 years I fancied something modern. I can't leave it sitting there and only drive it once a month it would be a waste. Its been a joy to own and now its someone else's turn.
The car comes with the previous MOTs for the time I have owned it this will verify the small amount of mileage it has done however I can not verify the engine mileage.
Please remember this vehicle is nearly 30 years old it is not perfect. I will update the description when I remember what I've forgotten as I'm older that the car so I'll have forgotten something. All questions answered.
It is currently insured with Sureterm/Lancaster and costs just £140 full comp with a good no claims.
The vehicle is available for viewing by genuine buyers on a Saturday or Sunday, anyone wishing to test drive must bring their driving licence and proof of insurance. Vehicle is kept at my place of work and anyone viewing will be on CCTV. Time is precious so please no tyre kickers or dreamers.
The price you bid is the price you pay, if you win this auction and then try to knock me down when you collect the car I simply will not go through with the deal. You WILL go home without it.
The vehicle is SOLD AS SEEN and NO warrantee is implied or given. A deposit of £250 with in 48 hours of the end of the auction followed by collection within 2 weekends of the end of auction. Vehicle will not be released with out cleared funds. Cash on collection is fine or a bank transfer upon collection if you have mobile banking however the car will not be released until the funds show in my account. Paypal for deposit ONLY.
