Canadian Spec Series IIA Land Rover!
Original Paint (Pastel Green body with Limestone top)
I bought this truck with the idea of doing a full restoration. However, having too many projects currently underway, I have decided to list it. However, if my reserve is not met, I will keep the truck for a future project.
ABOUT THE TRUCK:
Truck in running condition, being used as daily driver (Used 2-3 times per week on dry days - otherwise it's inside my garage).
Rebuilt engine, clutch, and exhaust system (at Around 70k miles).
Recently installed new parts (Brake Hose, Clutch Slave Cylinder, Exterior mirrors and lights, carburetor, oil changed, etc).
Vintage Belleview Winch is not-functional at this time.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
This truck is in really solid shape considering it was never restored (barn find). Originally came from inland B.C. before making it's way to Quebec. To my knowledge it was mainly used to access an hunting and fishing camp and driven mostly off-road only.
I want to give a very honest description of the truck, so I will list the following minor issues:
As mentioned before, the frame is solid with rust on the rear cross member (easily repaired with a replacement part from rovers north).Very minor rust on the front floors/bulkhead area (The rest of the bulkhead is SOLID!) Door pillars are solid with no rust. Two front floors have very MINOR rust spots.At some point in time someone installed incorrect rear taillights. The seats are not original. The tires seem to be original and will have to be replaced.The engine coolant temperature gauge is not functioning.Warning lamps in instrument panel are not functioning.As mentioned earlier the winch is not functioning.Small oil leak coming from the fuel pump gasket area.Original Paint: this means, there are a few spots missing paint (patina), Some scratches, some dents and dings.
Obviously to make this truck 100% perfect (fully restored) the buyer will need to replace parts and make repairs common for the age of a fifty year old vehicle.
It runs and drives fairly well considering it's current condition.
GREAT CANDIDATE FOR A FULL RESTORATION!!!!!
Considering the value of these trucks, and the fact that it's 90% original, complete and un-molested!
OR
You could do a "mechanical" restoration and just drive it as-is.
I have 90 extra photos of the truck (underneath, close ups, etc). Message me for additional photos or information.
Winner of the auction will have to give a deposit of 1000$ by Paypal within 24hrs of Auction Close. Balance to be paid either by paypal or certified cheque.
Buyer will have to arrange for any shipping or delivery of the vehicle, I can assist with that, but the cost is the responsibility of the buyer.
