Description
1997 Range Rover HSE 4.6 Vitesse edition in AA high impact yellow. Paint is very nice, few if any scratches, but some fading on the hood and roof. Black leather seating with yellow piping, in very nice shape. I don't know if it was replaced but it looks nearly new and factory exact. Carpet very nice, without flaws. All plastic interior pieces are good. Dash is very nice; all the wood inlay is without cracks. Headliner is original and is fine, not perfect. The factory stereo has a 6 CD player in the back and sounds really good. Big factory Vitesse model only amp works well. No buzzing speakers, great base! I use a cassette adapter to play Pandora or my iphone.
The engine and transmission were replaced with documented parts from a 1998 4.6 roll-over, vin # available. Donor Rover had 65,000 at that time. So just over 75,000 miles on the drive train now. At replacement a new aluminum aftermarket radiator was installed with a new water pump and appropriate Land Rover coolant. The CE light has been on since then, but a code reader showed no error codes. Needs to be re-set? I have put just over 10,000 miles on the new engine and no leaks. No oil or other fluid consumption. Never runs out of the middle of the temp. gauge. Great power, quiet, and 18-19 MPG. Oil changes with Mobile 1, 10w-40.
Electric windshield is new and works great. I turned it on and went looking for a scraper and came out of the house to see the windshield melted clearmirrors heat and work well. All exterior lights including fog lights work.
AC is cold. The HVAC screen needs new lights. There is a company on Ebay that will do it for $99, and I just haven't done it. Radio screen is also hard to read, but all radio functions work fine. All windows including the sunroof work fine. All electric locks work the way they should and operated from the key.
Drives smoothly at any speed, quietly, no rattles, shakes. Cruise control does not work, but I haven't looked at it. 4-wheel drive, sport mode, and low range all work well and easily engage.
Air suspension has been overhauled and works great; way down for loading, and high for 4-wheeling. Lowers itself when you get on the highway.
Comes with the Tulle ski/bike rack shown. (this will lesson your mileage though)
Recent work includes: (all records included)
engine, transmission at 181,000 miles
interstate batterywindshield (still like new)
