Description
Offered for sale or swap is my lovely black 2004 Range Rover 3L diesel. Although on an 53 plate this car was first used in December 2004 so benefits from the cheaper tax bracket (£260 a year instead of £500 a year or £20 a month instead of £40 a month) which was a big reason for me buying this car over a newer model. It is the HSE model which has all of the extras & toys of the Vogue model apart from the problematic satnav system. That means heated seats, climate control, cruise control, on board computer (mpg, tank range, miles to destination, time to destination, average speed etc etc), memory seats & steering wheel with 3 memory settings and Xenon headlights. It has dark grey full leather interior which is the best colour combination in my opinion not as garish as the tan or cream and not as dark and foreboding as the black. HID headlight upgrade which gives incredible visability in the dark both on full beam and dip. It has fully working air suspension with 3 height settings, 22" Overfinch alloy wheels with 4 matching tyres (over £3k new) and a very useful removable tow hitch.
It has very low mileage (only 91K), HPi clear, FSH and 8 months MOT with NO advisories. It has had new brake pads, new air filter, new fuel filter, EGR blanking kit fitted, modified crankcase breather kit fitted (filterless design that allows the engine to breathe more efficiently) and new RamAir engine breather pipes. This car really has been spoilt rotten and wants for nothing a real joy to own and drive but unfortunately our needs have changed so we now require a different vehicle. I will truly be sad to see it go, I know everyone says that on their ebay listings but in my case it genuinely is true :( It truly is an awesome car and there can't be too many about as good as this one. I spent a loooooooooong time looking for the right one, I done my research and looked at Discoveries first but I didn't like their reliability record, Ford made engines or cambelt setup (£1500 to replace, Yeouch!). This "Rangie" was built when the company was owned by BMW and shares it's engine and much of it's mechanicals with the 7 series of the same time. That means no cambelt and German build quality throughout which seems all good to me and cost about £80k when new.
Please don't expect a new car this is NOT a new car although in very good condition it is 11 years old now and as such is not in showroom condition so the odd mark or blemish here or there is only to be expected of a vehicle of this type and age.
The car is priced to sell but I maybe willing to take a p/x with cash either way or possibly even a swap for something of EQUAL value.
Good Points
Long MOT with NO advisories
Low mileage
FSH
Well maintained
22" Overfinch alloy wheels
Factory fitted privacy glass
HID headlight upgrade
EGR blanked
Filterless engine breather modification
Recent service including all new filters, front and rear Brake pads & silicone breather pipes.
New battery and rear discs and pads.
Bad Points
Hill decent switch broken off, still works though.
