1995 RANGE ROVER HSE 4.6l V8 4WD
Has been a wonderful vehicle to drive, it was my first one, and won't be my last. Has a style and appointment that even for it's age makes other four wheel drives feel "Agricultural"!
Very reliable, I purchased it from a truck driver who had purchased it as a repairable write off and had lavished attention on it.
Unfortunately, the engine management computers have gone senile and need replacement. I priced them a while ago at around $1400.
It has been sitting in the driveway gathering cobwebs so it is time for it to go as I no longer need a four wheel drive.
It has had the rear main seal and timing cover seals done, it has had a manual override system fitted for the electronic suspension and a computer reset plug in "kicker" unit (cost $150)
It also comes with a box of spare lenses and bibs and bobs.
The interior is still good for it's age, leather seats (back seat looks almost new) genuine sheep skin covers on the front seats, an ipod connector, factory refurbished original stereo, new electric window and sunroof control panel, Hayman reece towbar with 50mm tow ball, the roof lining has sagged and one stage and was temporarily pinned, I didn't get around to fixing it properly. The cruise control has never worked, but I'd never bothered with it in any car I've driven, so it was not a ppriority to fix.
Would make an excellent project to have a cheap reliable four wheel drive, or as an excellent money maker as a wreck as it is complete.
