Description
Range rover Vogue TD6 Cheap tax band £160 6months
Written off 2013 due to engine failure, it had been driven through deep water an sucked water into engine and bending a con rod.
I bought the car around 8months ago with a supposed injector fault but on starting the job and stripping it back they had loosened the injector pipes to give it the diesel knock sound to hide the rattle due and smoke due to no 6 piston not returning fully. I paid £8500 for this car off ebay as spares or repairs, I was told when I bought the car that they had in fact fitted a new engine and now that the injectors had failed they just wanted rid which turned out to be total rubbish. (learn the hard way)
old engine is here on a pallet which I will throw in if price is right. engine only requires 1 con rod changing and you have a working engine.
The car has covered 206k miles and has full documented service history upto 204k before it was written off! all of the work was carrier out by the same garage as it had been owned by the same person for a good few years hence the 3owners from new.
I have since changed the instrument cluster due to faulty lcd etc. standard problem and now showing 84500 miles ;) Bonus!!
It has a and engine fitted 3months ago with 77K genuine miles bought from a big land rover breaker for a £1000 receipt present, 3 brand new injectors £600 and a brand new turbo £500 and crank case breather amongst other things..
unfortunately the car do have the standard land rover problems like broken steering wheel heater and the occasional suspension warning but other than that runs and drives great. suspension does work as the split air pipe on rear airbag has been fixed and lifts up an down no problem
Just had mot passed with flying colours as brakes where all done prior to engine tyres all good including spare.
Could do with a good valet as previous owner must of had dogs, and the car does have a few small blisters of rust and scuffs as shown in picture
Lots of extras.
