Up for sale by classified advertisement is a sought after 1981 Series 3 Long Wheel Base Safari Land Rover with the full safari roof and a genuine 10 seat Land Rover previously registered in Victoria as such.
This vehicle has some of the most sought after extras fitted also.
4.4 Litre / 270 C1 V8 rebuilt and bored .020, out of the Leyland P76 Engine number 4401/1592. The engine has only been run in.
LT 85 5 Speed gearbox - similar to the tough LT95 but with a fifth gear. Gearbox number 8810485A (TBC)
Late model Discovery transfer case-with manual centre diff lock with new front flange and seal fitted.
Late model Discovery Bosch fuel injection manifold - customised for this specific application.
Custom ICE distributor, ICE ignition system, ICE coil and ICE leads (Worth a $1000 alone brand new)
Brand new Ford TC Cortina Bosch alternator installed but never used - on a custom bracket.
Brand new shock absorbers installed but never gone over a bump.
Rebuilt steering box - tight, near zero play, shimmed to perfection and never turned a corner. Brand new tie rod ends never turned a corner.
Tyres- BF Goodrich 31X10.5 R15 LT on offset Sunraysia style rims.
Resprayed engine bay in black 2 pack.
Many powder coated parts including but not limited to Grille, front bumper, misc brackets, heater box, brake and clutch master cylinder, cross member.
The panels are in generally good condition with some minor dings and places rubbed through.
Some spare glass included.
Remote oil cooler assembly not installed.
Reupholstered drivers and passenger seat and a recovered dash.
