Description
This Series IIa was purchased for our island summer home in Maine. Upon receiving the truck, it quickly became apparent it required too much work for our limited time in Maine and our remote location.
Truck is running but not road worthy. Truck is being sold as a project vehicle, as is. Will require work throughout. We will do our best to answer any questions. Truck is currently being held at a Land Rover shop in York, Maine.
Additional details regarding the truck's condition:
Frame: Bent in several places as well as having several areas of very poorly done repairs. I’m not sure I'd call it solid. It really needs to be replaced. It would not pass a safety inspection in Maine.
Bulkhead: Much the same. Bent, and poorly repaired as well as having corrosion in the footwell areas.
Engine: Does not run well. I think it might have the potential to run well but would need work.
Transmission: Seems to work ok and the 4wd does function.
Clutch: Works well.
Brakes: Not working well.
Springs: Need to be replaced.
Transporting the truck: Transportation must be arranged by buyer. The truck can be driven onto a trailer if jump started.
