Description

As a result of buying a 110 my wife has ‘advised’ me that I have to sell one of my other Landies.
Apparently, according to my wife:
I can’t drive them all at the same timedohThey all look the same!
So after many attempts at explaining she can’t use all the rooms in our house at the same time and she can’t wear all her shoes at the same timeI lost the ‘discussion’.
With heavy heart I have decided to sell my Series IIA, which I only bought in September last year after a long search for an original IIA i.e. not a bitsa or Series III on a questionable log book (you know what I mean).
The Landy had 5 previous owners and the chap I bought it off bought the Landy from a family friend of his who had owned the Landy for c30 yrs.
So this is a proper Land Rover Series 2A with the 2.25 Ltr petrol engine (the best option as they are quieter and faster than the diesels and not that much worse on full consumption) and importantly a good Fairly overdrive.
Having an overdrive makes journeys far better in terms of keeping the engine noise down and being able to keep up (relatively) with modern traffic (OK lorries).
I have just had the brakes overhauled, exhaust replaced (mid and rear) and some welding to ensure all is spot on and hence why this Landy comes with a new MOT.
I am not claiming is Landy is in mint/show room condition as it is 46 years old and has had chassis and bulkhead repairs, but it is in far better condition than my 1989 90 that I had to totally rebuild.
So with no road tax to worry about and 12 months MOT it is ready for work and play.
Any questions please call me (0787 665 2724) and viewing is recommended to appreciate how original this Series IIa really is.
Cash or cleared funds on collection.
