Description
Much loved and well cared for Lexus IS250 that I'm selling only due to getting a company car. Lexus are renowned for their build quality and specification and this car is no different. Runs absolutely perfectly, and has never given me a single issue. The last MOT was carried out in April 2014 and had zero minor or precautionary notes whatsoever. It also had a full/major service carried out last year with all the usual maintenance carried out (oil change, filter change, air con, etc).
The car has been professionally valeted at least once a month since I've had it, including a full wash, wax and polish and all the leather conditioning and interior cleaned. It's had a full clay bar treatment to remove all the road pollution etc twice a year too.
The car comes complete with the full Lexus wallet, including all the original manuals and documentation etc, and both original keys/fobs. It's done very little mileage since me buying it two years ago (less than 20k), vast majority of which were motorway miles.
The navigation and audio system coupled with all the other Lexus comforts on this edition and the optional extras (heated full leather seats, cruise control, etc) make this an amazing car to take a long or even short journey in. The six-speed auto gearbox is up to the usual sublime Lexus standard, with the gear changes almost imperceptible in normal driving conditions making every drive comfortable and refined. Then if you should want to you can take advantage of the 204BHP 2.5l V6 by switching it in to Sports mode and use the paddle shift gearbox to get you from 0-60 in just over 7 seconds, offering the best of both worlds as and when you need it.
Whilst I've cared for the car as best as I possibly can there are the usual marks and blemishes to the paintwork and a couple of very small dings commensurate with a car of this age, but all are only small things that you would never notice from a few feet away and never without looking for them. Once cleaned and polished it looks fantastic as you can hopefully tell from the photos, and nobody has ever pointed out the slight imperfections to me, but plenty have remarked on what a beautiful car it is!
Whilst the alloys aren't in the greatest condition they're easily refurbished if you're so inclined and again you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference from a few feet away. The driver side rear wheel arch does have a scuff and there is a 4-5 inch scratch on the passenger side (both pictured), but again both minor cosmetic issues. All of this is shown in the photos and I have been completely honest to avoid wasting anyone's time.
The price reflects these small cosmetic issues and my need to sell quickly due to upgrade, and so it's an absolute bargain for someone who is happy to save the extra £1500 on what you would normally pay for an IS250 of this specification, age and mileage. In all other respects (mechanically, etc) it is in perfect working order, and the first person to sit in it and start it will buy it at this price!
