Description
Am pretty keen to get this out of the yard. It got snowed on last Friday, which is probably first time it's ever seen that.
If at all interested, contact me with reasonable offer or your fair dinkum deals and let's see if we can give this a new home.
For your information, this owes me $2785 as and where it sits now. Getting it down from Qld border cost more than hoped, but am willing to sell at small loss to move it.
Hub caps are no longer available with the car.
Motor running now too.
On 27/7/14 we connected a battery, checked oil, points, etc. and set up a remote fuel tank to the fuel pump.
There is some wiring connected to starter inside engine bay, so we found which ones fired the starter and tested.
We then connected a power lead to the coil and after a couple of turns it fired. After fuel was pumped up to carby bowl it would idle OK but took a while for accelerator pump to work and get some revs.
There is an exhaust leak at rear of rhs (gasket most likely), but otherwise no nasty noises. There was some clicking of spark from leads at dissy and rhs exhaust manifold, but when moved they stopped. A good runner.
"Anything but Ordinary"
This is one of my personal projects which I am clearing out.
September 1974 build Leyland P76 Deluxe V8 Column Manual Sedan Project
One of only 1281 of this configuration sold.
Body tag reads 9-74-36 Body no. 18369
This car came from Northern NSW farm, and is dry and solid car with some small rust showing in lower front guards, right side boot well, and lower front panel where some red dirt has sat. Floors are solid painted original like boot area.
I have just moved car out of yard, washed it and taken these fresh photos. It now looks as good as I think it is. It is still smelly from the farm shed it was stored for many years.
Interior is good and original, but back seat top is sunburnt and crusty, and headliner has 3 holes in it.
.
NOTE: 44 Gallon drum still fits in boot as claimed by the salesman.
.
NOTE: I have set an automatic rejection of silly low bids, so don't waste your time typing anything stupid.
I will consider trades of A Model or early V8 Ford parts or LH - LX Torana, or anything interesting that drives, if it's something of similar value.
Call or ask any questions.
