Description
Up for sale is my awesome little 1971 Leyland Mini. This car is great to drive and corners on a dime. Selling to pay for another project.
The negatives: Although a few, they are all relatively minor/cosmetic. The dash has the obligatory crack, the window seals are becoming a little weathered and there is surface rust on the R/H door hinge. There is a slightly bigger patch on the boot - about the 5 cm's across. These spots have been treated but depending on how keen you are may require a paint down the track. There is no rust in the floor. The inside is ok but could do with a little TLC to "tidy up" door trims etc. I was going to put a dash in to hide the ugly parcel shelf but didn't get around to it. You can have the wooden template if you want it.The roof lining is a little discoloured and has a small 3cm L shaped rip. Finally the paint, apart from the "attractive" colour is in reasonable condition. It does have scuff marks and some minor scratches and thus could also do with a tidy up. Remember it is 43 years old.
The Positives: The motor has been stripped down, honed and new bearings, rings and gaskets fitted. 2 new CV Joints. 2 Track rod ends. Rear wheel bearing kit. New engine mounts. A new clutch was fitted and all the brakes have been serviced with three new cylinders fitted. All the front end rubber bushes have been replaced and the Hydrolastic suspension filled. New carpets have been put in the car, the upholstery has been repaired and a new sports steering wheel fitted. In short. the car has done less than 200km's since the rebuild and while their are some cosmetic TLC needed all the hard work has been done. These cars are becoming highly collectable.
The car is presently on Club plates and is NOT sold with a Road Worthy Certificate or Registration.
