Description
This beautifully restored 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V convertible is a fine example of one of a total production run of just 2,044 and only one of 300 still in existence. The 1960 Lincoln Continental epitomizes the post-war automotive period of excess in comfort, power, size, style and luxury. Form heads of state to music icons such as Elvis Presley, these cars represented a symbol of status and style that was envied by many. It is equipped with the rare factory installed air conditioning. In addition, this car is fitted with power steering, power windows, power radio antenna as well as the standard power 6-way adjustable front seat, power side vent windows and power rear 'breezeway' window. The 430cid/315hp V8 engine was gone through a few years ago before restoration. The 'smooth as silk' 3-speed automatic transmission has also been recently overhauled. The car has just been outfitted with brand new 'original'-style wide white wall tires to ensure safety and authenticity. The complete exhaust system is new front and back. The original beige body color was changed to a beautiful Pearl White. To compliment this, a new Dark Blue cloth Hartz Stay Fast convertible top has been fitted as well as all interior seats and door panels have been re-covered with supple Dk.Blue and Lt. Blue new custom material and Original grade Dk. Blue carpeting has also been installed to complete this interior. Upgrades also include electronic ignition, new carburetor, brakes including power booster and M/C, Convertible top pump and cylinders. Rest assured that this fine example of a luxury car icon from the 60's will provide years of pride and enjoyment for the next fortunate owner. Perfect specimens of these bring in the high $90's while excellent versions bring in the $70's. Recent driver quality versions are bringing the high $40's so I am pricing this one very fair but will entertain offers. Perfect for Weddings. Possible t rades considered, must have equivalent value.
