Description
Stunning 69 Lincoln Continental Mark III in superb condition. Originally a Los Angeles district code car this one still shows the red primer and undercoating underneath it's absolutely rust free body. No apparent accident damage ever. Extremely powerful 460 pre-smog high compression engine. This mark will leave the later Mark III's and all Mark IV's and V's in the dust. All mechanical issues taken care of. New radiator, rebuilt AC compressor with new clutch, new water pump, belts and hoses. Brakes gone completely through with new master cylinder, flex lines, calipers and wheel cylinders. New shocks front and back. New ball joints and tie rod ends. New rear springs. Recent tune up with wires, plugs, rotor and cap. Pertronix ignition. Auto climate control box overhauled. Beautiful base coat clear coat paint in original color completed several years ago. Transmission performs flawlessly. All windows work, including the rear quarter windows. Six way driver and passenger seats work properly. Electric antenna works properly. Door panels and seats are perfect. The windshield appears new with no pits or scratches Tires are about 4 years old. Original vinyl top is perfect with no rust bubbles showing. Drives straight and true. ISSUES: Front bumper has a 1/4 inch dent which you can see if you look carefully in the photos. Rear bumper is perfectly straight but has fading on the top. The clock works, but runs fast. The vacuum operated rear vent does not appear to work. The side window weatherstripping is dried but intact. Driver's seat missing one button. Dash has one crack in the center and the steering wheel has one crack. I have been critical when describing this car so there will be no surpizes. It is a great looking and driving car that actually looks like you stepped back in time to about 1972 to your local Lincoln dealer's used car lot. You will not be disappointed with this car. It would take very little to get it to show car condition or keep it as is, in stunning condition.
