INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME!
This is a beautiful, rust free 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible with the iconic Suicide Doors. This is the ultimate top down, take a drive down the Coast for sunset, grab some ice cream with the whole family Cruiser. These cars are getting difficult to find and are incredibly expensive to restore. YOU CAN ENJOY THIS ONE TODAY! The car is completely rust free. The body is excellent and arrow straight. The floorboards are excellent. The doors shut with that nice thud that only good cars have. The paint was done about 7 years ago and still looks excellent. But please be realistic and know that it has been driven on sunny Southern California days and enjoyed so there may be a small paint chip or minor scratch here or there. The chrome and stainless are in nice condition. The bumpers look great for a driver but up close have some minor pitting from age. It is not perfect nor is it priced at $100k+ like lot of them that are advertised. However it is an honest, excellent driver that you will be proud to own, make all of your friends extremely jealous, and take a trophy with at your local Car Show.
The cars runs and drives very nicely. The 462 cubic inch big block starts right up, settles into a nice idle, and is ready to roll. It is very smooth and quiet. The engine compartment is very clean. Newer exhaust with no exhaust leaks. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Surprisingly, and especially for a classic Lincoln if you are familiar with these cars, everything (except for the original radio which makes noise but no music. The Town and Country function still works.) seems to work. The power top works, the power windows work, the power seats work, the interior lights work, even the tiny front power vent windows work. Most of these cars came fully loaded but one of the options was factory Air Conditioning and this car has it. The AC system is complete. The compressor kicks on and the AC blew cold a few years ago but I think could use a re-charge now. Good whitewall tires. Good brakes. The suspension is good. It is comfortable cruising down the 101 or keeping up with freeway speeds out on Interstate 5.
Another rare option is the dual power factory bucket seats with a center console. Most were bench seats. The burgundy leather upholstery is not all ripped up but is somewhat dry cracked from the sun. Correct reproduction leather is available but personally I would leave it exactly like it sits and just have fun. The rear seat has an old split that has been taped up for years, The rest of the interior is very nice. The carpet, door panels, dashpad, gauges, etc. are all in nice condition. The black power top and the original glass rear window are in good shape but the canvas does have a couple minor cuts from going up and down over the years. No big holes or anything but I try to be upfront and honest about the even the smallest things so you are more than happy with your new car. Feel free to give me a call and I will tell you whatever you would like to know. Clean, clear California title in hand. It draws a crowd and picture takers everywhere you take it.
I would consider doing some horsetrading on an interesting Corvette, Camaro, Muscle Car, or a steel body Hot Rod. Please be realistic with your trades. Just because you don't want your junk any more doesn't mean that I do either. I am located in Carlsbad, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged.
I can help with transportation either getting it loaded on a truck, meeting your driver, or assisting you however I can at the buyer's expense. Inspections are encouraged but must be completed before the end of the auction. $1000 non refundable deposit due at auction end and remaining balance due within three working days.
