Description
RARE 1979 MARK V COLLECTOR SERIES!
BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL CONDITION. RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. ALL OPTIONS WORK INCLUDING THE A/C. DRIVE PROUDLY AS IS. OR THE PERFECT CAR TO TAKE RO THE NEXT LEVEL!
EXTERIOR: Paint is in very good condition. But is starting to show it's age up close. It shines up very nicely. But does have areas of checking and stone chips on the header panel and headlamp covers. No accidents or rust repair work ever done. Hard to that find in a car this age!! Chrome and stainless molding are in very good condition. Vinyl top and trunk cover are in great shape! Painted pin stripes were faded. So I had them removed and replaced with vinyl stripes.
INTERIOR: STUNNING! Carpet, seats, door panels, headliner and dash are exceptional. The dash pad does have a very slight warp. But that is nit picking. Radio works. But does not keep it's memory.
DRIVE LINE: The 400 engine runs strong! Trans shifts smoothly. But will need the pan gasket replaced. It will leave a few spots on the ground. It drive straight down the road and stops as it should. Vogue Tyres have less than 1000 miles on them.
So then why am I selling it? I have 8 cars and now only a 3 car garage. The wife is getting tired of my hobby. So I have to sell off a few of my toys. I also have a 69 Mark 3, 71 Mark 3 Convertible, 81 Mark 6 coupe (black on black) 98 Mark 8 Collector and 77 Grand Prix SJ (black on black). 3 of them need to go.
I really like this car and hate to let it go! If 3 of the other cars sell first. I will keep it.
Check the NADA values. I have it priced very fairly. Especially considering it is original and untouched. While it is not a concorse car. It can be made one. It is far above average! I doubt you'll find a Collector Series of this quality for less.
Please as all questions and have funds available before making this purchase. Local? You're welcome to come take a look in person.
Only reasonable, serious offers will be considered. More photos are available. Serious buyers only please.
