This is a 'Locost' or Lotus Seven replica.
Blinding quick car. Plenty of fun to drive and faster then you’ll ever need on the street. I’ve only done around 7,500km since completing the car in 2005. Engineered and road registered in the ACT. Located in Canberra if you want to check it out.
2l turbo (Nissan SR20DET). Currently running a very lazy 4 psi boost so there is plenty opportunity to give it some more grunt. Aussie spec chassis (wider, higher, etc). Old skool hotwire mag wheels with Yokohama tyres. Most running parts rebuilt at time of construction. Roll bar and 4 point harness for your next rack day or hillclimb. This is car is no show pony and could benefit from a little cosmetic tidying up.
Running gear includes:
Cortina front upright, diff and brakesEscort rackCorolla steering rack120y fuel tankSuspension arms and panhard rod are chromoly etc and were professionally tig weldedEngine SR20DET 'blacktop' with matching five speed (fitted with new clutch before it all when into the car). Running standard ECU. The loom was professionally shortened. Intercooler from recycled from Nissan skyline. Custom built dump pipe.Professionally made custom tail shaftMay consider trade for an interesting historic sports car (road registerable) including restoration projects. Probably not interested in; another clubman, MGBs, Midgets, American or Oz muscle cars.
