Description
For sale is my Mazda2
It was made in December 2010 and I have been the sole owner since new. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving this car but it has to go due to now living with my future wife and her kids - hence the Citroen in the background of some pics.
The Car - Mazda2 1.5 Sport
It was first registered in December 2010 and arrived with the plate VK60 XJG. It was then switched to a private plate which is not included in the sale. The car has now been registered and it has acquired the same plate as when it started.
The car interior is good and was valeted a couple of weeks ago. Since then it has only done 20 miles.
Generally the car is in good condition with not too much to complain but as with any 2nd hand car there is wear and tear - exterior wise, the left rear and left front marks I have been told can be buffed out. I have included photos of these for you.
The rear bumper was my fault - I was reversing at work and revered into a plastic bracket that was on a fence post. Again, this has been pictured.
Mechanically the car has been serviced every year above and beyond what was required. The 1st service was done through Mazda and the next 2 were done through Shire Cars (local garage, ex-BMW guys) using Mazda parts with the most recent service done using Unipart/Bosch items again through Shire Cars. As you can expect with any fairly young car, it flew through the MOT which will be due in Jan 2016.
Features of the car include;
Cruise Control
Climate Controlled Air Conditioning
Electric Folding / Adjusting & Heated Wing Mirrors
Auto On/Off Headlights
Auto On/Off Window Wipers
Trip Computer (mpg, temperature etc)
Speed Warning Setting (as part of the trip computer)
Sports Headlights
Updated Front Bumper
Updated Alloy Wheels
Glossy 'Piano Black' Centre console
The car has done just over 46000 miles and I average about 40 mpg. It can do more and with a bit of trying it will do about 43 mpg. Power wise from memory it is 105 PS which is 102 bhp. As an upgrade from my previous car (a 1ltr Toyota Yaris) you can feel it really is much more nippy.
As a 5 door version there is plenty of space for 4 or 5 adults to have a trip out (we did a trip to Ben Nevis from Cheltenham!)
When I went to have the car valued as a part-ex I was offered £4600 due to the bodywork marks and it needing 2 new tyres. The tyres have since been replaced and are as good as new, the fronts are about 5mm. Based on this valuation the first person to offer me £4600 gets it and can drive it away subject to you insuring and taxing it. I will not be bothering to tax it again (runs out at the end of this month) due to the change it road tax rules as it doesn't add any value to the car itself.
I will welcome any RAC/AA inspection should you wish to bring someone to inspect the car and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Collection only - Cheltenham (GL51)
