Repairs needed in future: Please see the Mazda web site for details on active recall #9916H. In brief, the lift gate support struts may corrode, causing the struts to break and/or the lift gate to drop unexpectedly. Mazda dealers will replace both lift gate supports free of charge. However, I never bothered taking my car in for this recall notice because my car is kept in a heated garage and I had no concerns about possible corrosion. Prior to initial inspection & test drive, all communication will occur through e-mail We will meet twice: once for the inspection, test drive, and negotiation; and once, if you are selected as the buyer, to complete the deal We will meet in Coolidge Corner, Brookline MA at a place of my choosing, so that you can inspect the vehicle and take it for a test drive The inspection will last no more than 15 minutes You will provide me with your driver's license so that I can take a photograph of it. You will also provide a second form of identification (e.g., military ID, MA registration card, bank or utility statement less than 60 days old matching the address on your driver's license, current insurance policy matching the address on your driver's license, etc) that I will photograph as well. I will not accompany you on the test drive The test drive will last no more than 15 minutes; if the inspection took less than 15 minutes, then the difference can be added to the test drive duration. If you do not return within the expected time interval, the vehicle will be reported to the police as stolen. For the inspection & test drive, I can meet on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday; or a Sunday or Wednesday first thing in the morning. Terms:
If paying in cash, we will meet inside my bank so that the bills can be verified and deposited immediately. If paying by any form of check, the check will need to clear before we can arrange for you to pickup the vehicle. You will pickup the vehicle in person in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA at a place of my choosing near my bank. My bank has a notary public who will notarize all paperwork, including the title transfer and bill of sale. For the final sale meeting, I can meet on a Tuesday or a Friday; these are the only two days, with rare exceptions, when I can get out of work during the middle of the workday
