We are reluctantly selling our fantastic 2002 MX5 due to the arrival of our grandson and we need to purchase a more baby friendly car for my wife. We bought this car two years ago from the original lady owner with the view to keeping it for weekend drives and club cruises.
When we bought the car we decided to upgrade it. It had a few marks so we had it professionally stripped at resprayed at a cost of $7,200 (receipt available), upgraded the headlights to halogen, improved the brakes, put on nice wheels and new tyres (originals available), had the clutch replaced, added a top of the range Pioneer CD/radio with blue tooth phone connection (for hands free), the engine bay was detailed and put in a new battery.
We had planned to keep the car for a long time so had everything reviewed, repaired and upgraded so you won't find another of this age in this condition. The sell price is well below what it owes us so it's a great deal so we can be sensible grandparents!
The paint is perfect, in the original red, the soft top was replaced not long before we bought the car, the leather interior is in A1 condition with no rips or tears and the car has only travelled 91,250 km from new.
9 months registration.
The car has central locking, both sets of original keys, no accidents from new, non smoker owners, original MX5 mats. It's a 6 speed manual with cruise control and it drives smoothly with heaps of power and the car is a real head turner.
The personalised plates are not included so the car will be registered with standard Vic plates on sale.
The vehicle comes with a Victorian Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) which will be obtained on sale.
This car has a 4 star ANCAP safety rating. Other features include - Space saver spare wheel - Air conditioning - Tachometer - Remote central locking - Front power windows - 6 speakers -2 airbags fitted for your protection. It has a powerful 1.8 litre engine and a reversing camera.
This is a beautiful car that has been tastefully upgraded to maintain it's originality that provides a wonderful motoring experience and brilliant top down, wind in the hair fun. Payment of $1,000 required within 3 days of auction end and balance and pick up within 7 days when RWC completed unless arrangements made. Bank transfer or Cash on pick up preferred.
