Description
I Have for sale my 1998 MX5 Sport.
This model came with desirable extras, such as Torsen LSD, Nardi Steering Wheel, Poncy Air Vent Surrounds, plus other little odds n sods.
My MX5 is not going to win you best in class, even when polished it isn't the prettiest car on the street. It could ideally do with a respray.
What it is, is a good, solid, reliable runaround, with scope for improvement and personalising to make this your own car.
I'm not going to bullshit about how it does xxxxmph, xxxxmpg, it is what it is, a very cheap mx5 that runs great, has a long mot, and has loads of life left in it.
Things that are good:
It is solid. It has no nasty knocks, bangs, it does have a rattle from the rear exhaust heat shield over bumpy roads, but is fine and i cannot be arsed changing/fixing it. It has 4 good toyo tyres, it runs perfectly, changes gear perfectly, stops very well. It will need an exhaust middle section for next mot(£32 Ebay). It has had front and rear discs and pads, a brand new radiator, a brand new roof, timing belt and a good service in my ownership.
Everything works and there are no faults when i checked, all dash lights come on, and go out as they should.
Things that are not good:
Its not a pretty car on close inspection, it has had new rear quarters at some point in its past, and i think the owner then asked Stevie Wonder to paint it, using the cheapest, shittest paint available!
There isn't any service history, nor are there any old mot's(what do you want? Its a grand).
There won't be a radio in it, unless i can find one in my garage.
I only have the green slip.
I've been using this car as my daily for the last 4-5 months. Its never let me down, and i've put a few thousand miles on it due to working away for the last 2 months.
With a paint job, it could really look the part, or keep it as is and just enjoy the handling and the sun on your head.
I may have made it sound worse than it is, but better under sell it and you be happy, than over sell and you be left disappointed.
Anyway, my feedback speaks volumes, and i'm proud of it.
Feel free to come and have a look, i'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Usual Ebay rules apply.
