Description
Our MX5 has come up for sale. We have owned
the car for over 4 years and I have spent many hours on it in that time
restoring and modifying to make improvements mechanically and aesthetically.
This MX5 came from a family who had owned it from new and I am the second owner outside of the family. The car was a little 'tired' when I picked it up, the paint was a little faded, the leather was dirty and the interior needed freshening up and it was running on awful 17" chrome wheels, so I took it as a time filler and hobby for over 4 years.
I have done all my own servicing in this time and used my regular mechanic for things that were not practical to do at home, the full exhaust system for example. Only high quality materials have been used. Fully synthetic Penrite oils, genuine filters, quality tyres, brake linings etc etc.
A list of items as follow-
Speedline period correct white alloys in unmarked condition with Yokohama S Line tyres @ 75%.
MCA Blue coilovers.
Front splitter and side difusers.
Rear KG Works (USA imported) boot spoiler.
K&N Typhoon air intake chamber and filter.
X force headers coupled to hi flow cat and MX5 Plus twin outlet system- all stainless.
Turn Signal Intakes- Additional intakes for cooling with LED side lights & indicators.
Passenger headlanp intake cover.
MX5 black leather seats with red stitching- rare.
Gear shifter & handbrake boot black with red stitching.
Nardi wheel- Black with red stitching.
Voodoo Satin black gearknob.
Sony head unit plus behind seat amp with door splits, tweeters & full door sound deadening installed also.
Roof in excellent condition.
The paintwork is in 95% condition, nice and glossy and well waxed, as with a 20 plus year old car there are a few nicks here and there but the car does present very well and gains very positive comments from club members.
The car drives very well and as a Clubman does not have power steering or aircon- this is an oldschool drivers car with a punchy 1.8l and a cracking little 5 speed gearbox. It is an absolute pleasure to go away in the weekend up to The Hunter and enjoy the 16K corners up The Putty Road, this car grips grips and grips some more.
We are only selling as I am considering a career change and cannot afford to have the MX5 sat in the garage and have to run another ute for business day to day (company car ATM) I have bought my replacement XR6 Turbo ute and really am looking for a serious buyer for the MX5.
If interested give me a call to discuss a view.
I have the vehicle listed elsewhere so auction may finish at anytime.
