Description
Mazda MX-5 Isola Special Edition 1.6
Mk 2, 2000 (X-Reg)
Red
59,000 miles
MX-5's are fantastic little cars and have been the best small 2-seater sports cars for the last 25 years.
Rear-wheel drive, combined with low weight, great steering and no roof mean they are the best to drive, full stop.
Mazda have sold 900,000 of them for a reason.
Don't even bother looking at the MG TFs or MR2s.
This is a great example in lovely condition.
The 1.6 litre engine produces roughy 115bhp and is the one to get in my opinion, it feels much lighter than the 1.8 for some reason.
The red looks absolutely stunning in person and interior is unbelievably tidy.
The car has recently had a new roof so absolutely no leaks there.
It's a glass and heated rear window version.
The front and rear bumpers have been recently re-sprayed so are in near perfect condition.
It's currently sitting on practically brand new Firestones which have hardly any miles on them.
The sills have also been repaired, this is a common problem with MX-5s, generally if the sills haven't been done then they need doing so this one is good to go.
Now this is a 15 year old car so it's not perfect.
There is some sun damage to the paint, tends to happen with red cars.
From a distance it's not noticeable at all and the car looks brilliant, it's just close up that you can see some speckling under the surface.
The windscreen has 3 chips in it, one has been repaired by Autoglass and the other two have been there for over a year and didn't effect the MOT so not a real problem.
If you were being very fussy you might also want to refurb the alloys.
These are all visual things and the car drives absolutely spot on, as all MX-5s do.
So grab a bit of a bargain and have some fun in the sun.
Thanks for looking and check out my other items.
I have another MX-5 for sale as well.
