Description
PERFECT CAR FOR A TRACK DAY OR FORA FIRST TIME OWNER.
I bought this car as an automatic with about 194,000 miles on it.
I took the engine and trans out threw away the automatic and tore into the engine.
I rebuilt the engine after having:
The head cleaned, valves ground, reseated and adjusted with new shims in the buckets, the cylinders bored and honed, all the bearings and seals replaced, a new water pump installed with thermostat, new pistons and rings, new engine mounts, replacing the A/C pump, and a new lightweight flywheel thrown on with a new pilot bearing.
I put a new Flyin Miata Stage 1 clutch on with a 5 speed, left over from a 6 speed conversion I did on a 1995 Miata, rebuilt the shifter with it too.
The driveshaft is also brand new.
Radiator is brand new.
I replace the ECU with one from another 99 manual Miata.
All the fluids have been replaced with Redline full synthetics and break-in oil for the motor.
The tires are brand new with no more than 5 miles on them.
The brake roters are new with new pads.
I replaced the old front bumper with a red one due to the amount of wear.
Folding vinyl roof is brand new.
The car has a lot of scratches and quite a few small dents. The driver's side window needs a new motor due to worn cables.
Passenger side door and front quarter panel were replaced before I bought the car.
NO LSD
A/C works great.
