1993 Mazda Miata LELimited Edition – 1 of only 1,505!38,290 Miles From New
Factory Bilstein Sport Suspension
Factory 14” BBS Alloy Wheels
Consignment SaleVIN: JM1NA351XP1415000While there have been dozens of special edition Miatas over the course of the car’s production run, perhaps none, other than maybe the earliest ‘91 SEs, are quite as desirable as the ‘93 LE. All ‘93 LEs were Brilliant Black over Brilliant Red, the only time a red interior was fitted to an NA Miata. The LE came with headrest speakers, air conditioning, 14” BBS wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear skirt, and most importantly, Bilstein sport suspension. This particular car spent the overwhelming majority of its life as a summer driver in North Dakota, always garage-kept and responsibly owned. As the car sits now, it’s an extremely well-sorted, clean, low-mile example that is in need of nothing other than a new owner who will use and enjoy it.Exterior:
- Please take a look at the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight. Blemishes include a few dings, as well as a couple light scratches.- Brilliant Black paint is original with the exception of a portion of the passenger rear quarter, where a scratch was corrected.- 14” BBS alloy wheels are in phenomenal condition, with no curb rash, yellowing, or damage whatsoever. Toyo Proxes T1-S tires are in great shape as well, though we are not positive as to their age. Regardless, no dryness or anything like that.
- All glass is clear and crack free, as are all lights.
- The car will come with a red boot cover, red tonneau cover, all original books and manuals, and the spare and jack.
- Black convertible top is in great shape. No punctures or damage. Fits perfectly. Rear plastic window is decent; some light scratches, but no creases or discoloring.
- Doors and hood/trunk all open and close nice and smoothly.Interior:
- Again, please defer to the photos and video. Black over red is a great combo. Much like the exterior, the interior is in excellent shape with only very minor signs of age.
- Seats are in great shape. There’s some very slight fading on the outside of the driver’s bolster, but nothing more. The shift knob shows some wearthe numbers on there are a bit faded. There is also a scratch on the top/side of the cluster, visible in the pgotos and video. Headrest speakers are a useful feature for cruising with the top down, as wind noise doesn’t put a damper on your music. This car also has cruise control, power windows, power antenna, a Nardi shift knob, and air conditioning, which does blow cold. The car still has its original Pioneer AM/FM radio with cassette, which works perfectly. There are two cup holders by the center console, and a cup holder cover will come with the car as well. All gauges and interior lights work without fault.
- Odometer is functional and the reading of 38,290 is accurate. Clean CarFax, which shows history from new until 2017 in North Dakota, so please inquire for a scan of that.Mechanical:
- North Dakota is a dry, no-salt state, so the car survived all these years in excellent condition. Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it’s pretty impressive. The engine bay is much of the same, with many factory stickers and paint-dabs still presenting like-new.
- The car starts right up without fault, and while the 1.6L DOHC 16 valve inline 4-cylinder isn't known for its tremendous power output (114hp), the car’s short-throw 5-speed and only 2100lb weight make it an absolute blast to drive. On the road, the car feels great. There are no noises or tendencies of concern whatsoever. Clutch grabs like it should, and the car pulls through the gears without any hesitation. Handling and ride quality is excellent, thanks to the factory Bilstein suspension. The car tracks straight and brakes straight and effectively. Recent services include an oil change and replacement of the clutch master cylinder. As it sits now, the car is ready to be enjoyed. Please feel free to reach out to Jake at 773-273-8257 with any further questions.
