Description
I purchased this as a project car to work on with my teenage son. It has been heavily upgraded and running on the street and at autocross events for the past 5 months. He is off to college and I don't want to let it sit in the garage. It was a great experience for us.
Super fun to drive and still has a few cosmetic items that can be done, mostly on the interior. We have spent well over $7500 over the past year to make this a fun ride for the street, autocross and track. This does not include hours and hours of labor (aka father-son bonding time). Solid uni-body frame without cancer or major rust issues underneath, no body filler. The previous owner had it stored in a garage where a ladder or something fell against the roof over the driver's door. This made a dent that needs repair, but it is not critical. (see photo).
Very clean for its age and strong rotary power with tons of new parts and upgrades.
A few highlights:
Mazda 1.1 Liter, 2-Rotor (12A) Engine fronting a stock 5-Speed Manual
New Racing Beat Holley Four Barrel Carburetor (More HP)
New Holley Red Electric Fuel Pump with Adjustable Pressure Regulator
New matched Racing Beat Intake Manifold (More HP)
New Racing Beat Straight Pipe Headers (More HP)
Auto-choke Deleted / Air Pump Deleted (More HP)
New Distributor Cap, Rotor, Plugs & Ignition Coils
New Custom Straight Pipe Exhaust with Magna Flow Muffler (More HP)

Four (4) new 225/45ZR-15 HANKOOK VENTUS R-S4 (new 2017 design)
Set of Stock Alloy wheels w/street tires mounted (OEM 13x6)
Converted stock, clumsy lug bolts to studs with lightweight 14mm lug nuts
Updated to Electric Engine Bay Cooling Fan (More HP)
New rubber door seals (OEM)
New side window lower "wiper" seals (OEM)
Too much to list in replacement parts and pieces (belts, filters, etc.)
Paint good with some clear coat starting to show wear
Sale includes all serviceable stock parts that were removed
Autocross badges in photos is magnetic and is not included
Clear Title in hand - All cash offers considered.
And now for the bonus .. Car #2 ..
If you act quick, I will throw in a silver/black 1982 RX7 GSL ex-racer body (no engine, tranny or interior) parts car for FREE. It is missing the right front strut assembly, else it would be a simple roller. Uni-body undercarriage is shot with rust, but all glass, including hatch glass, is present and intact. Fenders are good. Instrument cluster good, steering, linkages and newer fuel tank still there. We swapped the LSD rear out. A few parts left to salvage such as headlight motor assemblies ($$). If you don't want it (or any parts from it), it's going to salvage after sale. (See Photo)
