This is a 40 year old car that is in its original condition. It has not been restored, repainted or rebuilt in anyway. This is a one owner car by a little old lady that was 48 when she bought it and is now 87years old in a old peoples home. Her son sold it for her to have money in her account. The car starts, runs, idols, shifts, steers & brakes fantastically. Even though its not a perfect car, we have decided to leave it the way we received it. We believe that most people will appreciate this is exactly the way we received it. It says a lot about the car and the way it was taken care of for a 40 year old car! What we know about the RX-7: Always a Spokane Washington car. Purchased by an older lady, lived in the garage its whole life 1500 miles per year. You have to pull the choke on the dash to start the car. Leave it pulled out for 2 to 3 minutes before turning it off. Once its warm you do not need the choke. Original paint, original motor, original transmission, original miles, original windshield. As much factory OEM parts remain on this car as humanly possible. Radiator was exchanged recently And they never put the OEM sensor back in because the diameter of that sensor was larger than the plug in the top of the radiator so they just put a cap in it the wire for the sensor is brown and its tied around the battery terminal should somebody want to hook it up. It says add coolant on the dash when you start the car and run the car. It does not need coolant. its full. its because the sensor is not installed. The windows work they roll up and down. The passenger one is a little bit sticky the driver side one is very sticky when you roll it up you need to help it with your hand. Keep in mind this is not a restored car Im sure the mechanism in there is dry and need some lubricant not a big deal it works just dont force it. Same thing with all the door locks one key works the ignition, glove box, gas door, both doors in the car and the rear hatch you have to be very gingerly with the key as it wants to stick in these locks because they too are a little bit dry. Again this is an original car its not been restored. All the gauges work, light up and function as they should. The dome light didnt seem to work nor did the clock in the center console. Could be something as simple as a fuse but again I do not want to crack into this car I wanna leave it in its original found condition. The things not working or not working perfectly on the car are very minor. Mechanically this car is ridiculously sound. It starts, runs, idols, drives, brakes, shocks, gearbox, clutch. Everything is really solid on this car as is. This is a super unique opportunity! The first generation RX sevens dried up cracked and rusted like crazy. To find something in this condition completely original in a timeless color combination, with the factory dealer installed appearance package, stainless steel Targa band, and power sunroof was something very rare. All documentation is in the glove box and in a storage box behind the passenger seat.
