Mazda Tribute Luxury 2002 V6

Mazda Tribute Luxury. 2002 Mazda Tribute Luxury all wheel drive. I am the second owner of this Mazda Tribute and have had it serviced every 10 000Kms until the gearbox had problems about two years ago. About two year ago the car would not go into low gear. So I had Noosa Automatics repair it. They removed the box and rebuilt it at a cost of over $3000. However we had further problems with the box slipping in gear now and then. They had planned to attend to it but. Sadly the owner of Noosa automatics passed away. We trust they had done the right thing but we are left with the car not working right. I have been told that more than likely the valve box is loose, which would cause this problem of slipping, which is now very bad. It is hard to drive the car as you have to rev it to get it to engage gear. As we have no recall now on the deceased estate, I am not prepared to spend more money on this car. As such I am cutting my losses and letting it go to the highest bidder. It has been store in the shed for close to a 1.5 years. The battery is now dead and would require replacing. It starts, runs but has to be revved high to get gears. The tyres are close to requiring replacing and the front end shocks could do with attention. The air conditioner does not work. The catylitic converters have been removed too. All else is good and in working order. I am no mechanic and suggest if you are unsure of something that you check it yourself.
