Description
For sale I have my Mercedes 190e 1.8 Automatic. I have owned this car for around a year now and since I’ve owned it it’s had a lot of work done. The car has currently done 127,000 miles and comes with 11 months MOT with no advisories and a nice set of Duchatelet 15" wheels with good tyres, which I sprayed and polished myself.
4,000 miles ago (late 2014) the engine was removed and given a partial rebuild at a local garage. Some of this work I helped with, and I took photos of the work as it happened, which I have placed in the service history file. Work included:
• Timing chain, guides and tensioner replacement
• New head gasket
• New water pump
• Full service
• Replacement rear main seal
• Thermostat and housing upgrade replacement
• Spray painted engine bay and removed rust patches (before and after photos below).
The car recently had work done to get it through its MOT, which included a diff replacement, power steering box replacement, front brake discs and pads, and a major steering component rebuild underneath the car costing £800. No advisories on MOT.
The car is in generally good condition inside and out, engine and gearbox are strong and the bodywork underneath is very good for its age.
The car is great to drive and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've been offered another opportunity hence the sale of my Merc, but I'd happily keep hold of it if I had the space. The Merc has done many trips from Nottingham to Edinburgh and Nottingham to Cornwall without any problems.
Located in Nottingham.
